This is the second fatal quad bike incident in less than two months. In December, 34-year-old Reuben Azzopardi, an international Maltese kickboxer and a father of three-year-old girl, lost his life after falling with his quad bike over a cliff in an area of Xghajra known as Golf tat-Tafal.

Days later, on January 2, 26-year-old motorcyclist Matthew Azzopardi died in Mosta after crashing his motorcycle into an Isuzu pick-up.
