Momentum promised to give Gozo an alternative to the economic model that risks eroding the beauty of the island during a visit on Sunday.

During meetings with residents across the island, the party pledged to work on transparency, good governance, environmental protection and quality-of-life issues affecting Gozitans.

Momentum’s Arnold Cassola said Gozo requires politics that prioritise communities over partisan interests, arguing that both the PL and the PN continue to support an economic model that threatens the island’s character and environment. He added that Momentum aims to present an alternative based on accountability, sustainability and respect for citizens.

Momentum’s Gozo candidate Carmel Asciak noted that residents are seeking practical solutions to challenges including connectivity, overdevelopment and opportunities for young people and families. He added that the party will provide Gozo with stronger representation on these issues.

Momentum thanked residents who took part in the activities and said it would continue campaigning on what it described as a vision for cleaner and fairer politics.
