Diver dies in Valletta

A 61-year-old man of foreign nationality who was diving in the area known as Il-Fossa in Valletta has died.

According to the Police, the man was diving with a group of people when he encountered difficulties. He was helped to the shore by another person and was assisted by a medical team on the spot.

The diver was then taken to Mater Dei Hospital where he later died.

Police investigation is ongoing.
