Elderly woman critical after fall

Police had to force their way into the house in St. Catherine Street, Qormi, after neighbours reported hearing a person call for help.

On entry, the police found the injured woman on the ground next to a staircase that leads to the roof.

Paramedics assisted the woman on site and was later admitted to Mater Dei Hospital, where her condition was said to be critical.

A magisterial inquiry is underway.
