KM Malta Airlines has announced a direct Palermo route, operating both ways three times a week from 30 May and continuing throughout the summer.

Along with Catania, this will be the airline’s second connection to Sicily.

On Tuesdays and Saturdays the flight will depart Malta at 8:55pm arriving in Palermo at 10pm. Flights will leave Palermo and return to Malta at 10:45pm.

On Wednesdays, the route departs from Malta at 9:30pm. Flights returning to Malta will leave Palermo at 11:20pm.

The new service comes shortly after the release of its summer schedule. Another 19 routes have also been announced across Europe and the Mediterranean, including two daily flights to and from London, Munich, Paris and Rome.

The summer schedule includes reinstatement of flights to Tel Aviv which were previously cancelled due to security concerns.

“We are pleased to introduce Palermo as a new destination within our Summer 2026 schedule,” said David Curmi, Chairman of KM Malta Airlines, adding that “this new route expands the destinations available to the Maltese public while also creating additional opportunities to attract tourists to Malta.”
