Labour Party appoints Ivan Falzon as CEO
Ivan Falzon replaces Leonid McKay as Labour Party CEO
The Labour Party has appointed Ivan Falzon as its new chief executive, with immediate effect.
He replaces Leonid McKay, who has been appointed Transport Malta CEO.
The party said Falzon brings extensive experience in senior executive roles, having previously served as chief executive of Infrastructure Malta, the Water Services Corporation and Mater Dei Hospital.
In a statement, the party described Falzon's leadership across different sectors as being characterised by professionalism, strong managerial skills and a commitment to innovation and efficiency.
The Labour Party said the appointment reflects its commitment to continuing the renewal of its internal structures, with the aim of strengthening the party and enabling it to continue delivering for the people of Malta and Gozo.
The party also thanked outgoing chief executive Leonid McKay for his work over the past two years.
It praised his ability to bring together talent from across the party and his leadership in overseeing key projects and initiatives, culminating in the party's most recent electoral campaign.
