Man found dead after truck door collapse in Dingli

A 74-year-old man has died after the back door of a truck collapsed on him in Sqaq il-Kalkara, Dingli.

Police were informed of the accident at around 10am on Friday, where, according to police, the back door of a truck fell onto the man, trapping him between the back door of the truck and a tracktor nearby. 

Police spokesperson Brandon Pisani was dispatched onto the scene, and has since confirmed the death of the man who was a resident in Mellieħa. 

Magistrate Monica Borg Galea has since opened an inquiry.

Police investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident are ongoing.
