Car fire engulfs garage in Mellieħa

The Civil Protection Department responded to a fire inside a Mellieħa garage on Sunday morning.
Firefighters arrived on the scene and found an internal combustion engine car on engulfed by flames in the garage.
"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the garage and carried out firefighting operations, bringing the fire under control," the CPD said.
The smoke was then cleared out and the area was made safe once again.
The CPD thanked the medical team from Mater Dei Hospital's emergency department and police officers who provided assistance.
