Mother of two mugged in St Julian's
A mother of two, Karla Cachia, of St Julians, was violently mugged in St Julians on Thursday night at 9pm.
The 35-year-old victim told MaltaToday: "I was walking back to my house near Ghomor Valley, St Julians when two hooded persons came out of nowhere and demanded I give them my bag. I was punched by one of the hooded men."
"The aggressors snatched my handbag which included personal belongings, documents and cash and disappeared in a flash," Cachia said.
Police confirmed that a report had been filed at the St Julians police station at 9.15 p.m. and a patrol was immediately sent to the surrounding areas but the search yielded no results.
Luckily, Cachia got away with minor injuries but was in shock.
Police are investigating.
