What a shame. coming from a minister who barely a month ago, hand on heart insisted that he did not have the funds (Euro 200,000) to help Inspire to provide therapies (Speech, Physio and Occupational Therapies) for 300 intellectually challenged children. I hope these decision makers have a change of heart and if not it is our right and duty to make them change.

If I hand it back can I claim a refund on my taxes?

Allow me, as a father of an intellectually-challenged 34 year old Down's Syndrome daughter and on behalf of all other parents with similar challenges, to place on record no less than disgust at this news which is doubly offensive when we know that the same Ministry that is guilty of wasting 43,000 euros on publicity have not been able to find the money to continue our offspring's vital healthcare therapies ( which include speech, occupational and physio therapy ). Our children have a right to continuing health care at public expense. For years Government had wisely done so through holistic educational and therapeutical programmes sub-contracted to well-managed not-for-profit NGOs, saving itself millions each year. INSPIRE alone ( and there are other valid organisations who provide support ) delivers to Malta's mentally disabled educational services costing 2.8 million euros ( not including the value of hundreds of volunteer hours ) against a payment from Government of merely 865,000 euros ....what NGOs get from Government is in no way a handout ! I pray that God appropriately inspires those who at present head the Ministry of Health to grant those who are intellectually-challenged their right to continuing healthcare. Publicity leaflets are, indeed, counterproductive when the people are fully aware of shortcomings and wrongful spending prioritisation within a specific Ministry. sincerely, Philip Rizzo

THIS ADMINISTRATION HAS A KNACK OF WASTING MONEY WITH SUCH GESTURES OF CHEAP PROPAGANDA. IF THE GOVERNMENT WOULD WASTE THOUSANDS OF EUROS LIKE THIS THAN THERE IS A REAL LACK OF PRIORITIES.

Like the other writers here, I simply regarded this as another bit of junk mail and it was consigned, unread, into the recycling bag. In addenda, this item shows the complete and continuing irresponsible attitude of the GonziPN mob where it comes to looking after taxpayers' money.

Money literally down the drain and than we have a problem finding funds for people with disability. Shame on you Onor Galea, when you have an NGO in your district which could have used these funds in a more worthy cause. But everything will be ok once Super Simon the knight in shining armour for GonziPN starts visiting kitchens for a cuppa. We used to live , still live and we will continue to live in a Mickey Mouse country under GonziPN.

You are making me feel guilty for throwing it in the recycle bin before opening it!!

What a waste of money! I have thrown mine in the bin the moment I got!

I had to wait 2 months to get 60 blood pressure pills from the "Pharmacy of my Choice" and then you spend €43,000 on some cheap political propaganda. Flimkien Kollox Possibli. I want a Government that spends my taxes wisely and know what priorities are. Spending €80 million on a New Parliament and then doing away with €40 million you have to cut from well spent monies, like Sedqa, Inspire and all other NGOs that do useful work with the community. If the Nation doesn't give you the BIGGEST defeat in Maltese Political History, the we don't deserve any better.
