Government continued paying RCC's expenses after motion of no confidence
More than €30,000 in expenses concurred by Richard Cachia Caruana paid by the government.
The Office of the Prime Minister had to pay more than €30,000 in expenses concurred by Richard Cachia Caruana, despite the latter had lost a confidence motion in Parliament.
Despite being forced to resign from his original position of permanent representative to the EU on 18th June 2012, he was appointed personal consultant to former Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi.
Through this appointment, RCC’s internet, telephone and mobile expenses were to be paid by the government. He was also given a laptop and an iPad.
