‘Small’ amount of money stolen during hooded robbery in Balzan
A 79-year-old Balzan woman had the fright of her life when hooded robbers broke into her residence at Idmedja Street this morning and asked for money.

It was at this point that one of the robbers tied the woman, the police said.
The woman handed over a "small amount" of money, according to the police, and the robbers then fled.
She then managed to free herself from the shackles and then started to cry out for help.
On duty Magistrate Edwina Grima has ordered a magisterial inquiry according to law. She appointed various court experts to assist her in her investigations on the case.
The police investigations on this robbery were continuing.
