Four injured in Zebbug traffic accident

Four youths were treated in hospital after a car they were in hit a wall.

The accident happened yesterday at around 9pm in Mdina Road in Ħaż-Żebbuġ. 19-year old Maria Zammit from Ħaż-Żebbuġ was driving a Toyota Vitz towards Qormi. As she came close to a bend, she lost control of the car, hit the pavement on the right hand side and then hit a wall.

In the same car there were two more girls – 16, from Qormi, and 15, from Ħaż-Żebbuġ, and a 15-year old boy, also from Ħaż-Żebbuġ.

Although members from the Civil Protection were called on site their assistance was not required, but the four youths were taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance for further medical treatment.
