Worker injured on a construction site in Gozo

Police still have not confirmed his identity or injuries

Members of the Gozo Civil Protection were called on a construction site in Triq Marsalforn in Xagħra after a worker fell a height of around two storeys into a field. At the time of the incident he was on a roof of a buliding when he lost his balance. 

The incident happened at around 2pm. MaltaToday is informed that the man was lifted by the CPD personnel and rushed to the Gozo General Hospital.

In a statement the Police said that the victim is a 37 yeard old man from Xagħra and that  he is suffering from injuries of grievous nature.

From further investigations carried out by maltatoday the victim is Domenic Refalo. Police from the Gozo Mobile Squad assisted the CPD personnel and the medical team to lift Refalo from the field he fell to. Inspector Bernard Spiteri together with PS Joe Mizzi from the Victoria Police Station are investigating the incident.
