Update: Boy in danger of losing his life

A 9-year-old Mellieħa boy has been hosipalised shortly after noon today after he had been involved in a fall at a school in the same locality.  MaltaToday has learnt from police sources that the boy is in danger of losing his life.

This diagnosis resulted after the boy was medically examined by doctors at Mater Dei Hospital.

Initial police investigations on site showed that the boy was in a school at Vincenzo Ciappara Street when for an unspecified reason, he fell a storey.

A magisterial inquiry by on duty Magistrate Jacqueline Padovani Grima has been set up as prescribed by law.  She appointed various court experts to assist her in the investigations about this fall.

Earlier the police had said that the boy had suffered “some injuries” but was still being examined by doctors at hospital.

Police investigations on this case were still continuing.
