Two teens to face court after small cannabis find
Drug-related objects and ammunition found in a residence of one of the teens
After responding to a noise complaint, police found two youths carrying small amounts of cannabis.
District Police from the St Julians Police Station received a complaint at 2.00 a.m. this morning that two young men were riding their motorized bikes in Ta’ Ġorni Road in St Julians and causing a disturbance.
When the police went to investigate, they found the two youths - an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old, both from St Julians. The police searched the two youngsters and found a small amount of cannabis on both of them.
Officers then went to the 18-year-old's house and a search of his room yielded drug-related paraphernalia, as well as ammunition for a pistol and for a rifle.
While the 18-year-old was kept for more questioning by the police, his friend was taken away by his parents with police permission.
Both teenagers will be arraigned in court in the coming days.
