PN points fingers at Electoral Commission over Labour leak

PN demands explanation over how draft of appeal was leaked to the PL from the Electoral Commission

The Nationalist Party has demanded an explanation from the Electoral Commission over the way a draft of the PN's appeal from the Constitutional Court decision on the allocation of two parliamentary seats, was leaked to the Labour Party before it was filed.

The PN said the Electoral Commission was constitutionally obliged to act independently.

The Constitutional Court had found errors in the counting of votes in the 2013 general election and allocated an extra two seats in parliament to the PN. The PN said it appeared that the Commission changed its draft after it was secretly leaked to the Labour Party.
