Buildings constructed recently may have a shorter than usual lifespan, due to incomplete testing of the concrete used. NGO Sustainable Built Environment Malta said that while concrete was tested for strength, it was not tested for durability.

The Association of Maltese in Brussels said that if people allow fear and prejudice to take over, the fight against terrorism cannot be won. It has been one week since explosions rocked the Belgian capital, claiming some 35 lives.

Henley and Partners has announced that the Maltese IIP citizenship program has brought in some €1 billion since February 2014.

This year, ten cases involving drugs were reported at the Corradino Correctional Facility, with the drug of choice being synthetic marijuana. In 2015, 24 drug cases were reported.
