Enforcement starts in Wied Zembaq
Two weeks after weekly newspaper Illum reported the construction of rooms in Wieq Zembaq, the planning authority has now issued an enforcement notice on the site.

When the story was originally reported, MEPA could not confirm whether the rooms were illegal or not, and said it was still looking into the matter.
But in notice ECF 605/10, issued against one of the rooms under construction, MEPA now confirmed that this is being built “without a permit.” The enforcement notice was issued following an inspection by officials, according to a spokesperson for the authority.
