Thundery weather to persist until Sunday

Thundery weather and heavy rainfall have reached Malta flooding roads in several locations.

The unstable weather is expected to last until Sunday, according to Malta International Airport’s Meteorological Office.

People living in the San Ġwann area reported a massive thunder clap as a lightening bolt hit the ground at around 1pm.

The wind over the next two days is expected to blow from the south east, ensuring temperatures stay at a high of 23 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
