Infrastructure Malta will be introducing major changes to the Marsa Junction and its traffic lights over the coming days as works on the third phase of the major project get underway.

The agency responsible for road construction said the construction of the first flyover structures will commence, and this will necessitate the re-routing of traffic in the area.

New traffic lights will also be introduced as part of the re-routing exercise.

The Marsa junction project will see the construction of seven flyovers to ensure traffic in all direction proceeds in a continuous flow. Works are expected to take two years to complete.

Two weeks ago, the second phase of the project was completed, which saw the widening of Aldo Moro Road and new connection roads to Qormi.
