Russia vs Wales

Both teams will come into this match looking for points after suffering 2-1 defeats in their previous encounters. Russia lost against Slovakia, while Wales were beaten by England.

Wales will start as favourites after beating Slovakia and were also close to gain points against the English team. They will sure rely on their star player, Gareth Bale, who can change a game at any moment.

These two sides played against each other nine times. Russia won five games, while Wales won one. The remaining three encounters ended up in a draw.

This match will be controlled by Jonas Eriksson from Sweden.

England vs Slovakia

In the other match, both England and Slovakia have a good chance of making it through after gaining positive results in their previous encounters. England managed to beat Wales, while Slovakia won against Russia.

Roy Hodgson’s side can rely on the individual players who can make a difference at any moment. However, despite producing good performances, they are finding it difficult to put the game to bed. In fact, they managed to beat Wales only with a late goal scored by Sturridge.

On the other hand, Slovakia will need to rely on the collective to have any chance of winning this match. This is not an impossible task after producing an excellent performance against the Russians.

When looking at history, these sides played against each other sixteen times. England won eleven of these matches, while Slovakia won two. The other three matches ended up in a draw.

This match will be controlled by Carlos Velasco Carballo from the Spanish Federation.
