Fabregas very close to signing for Barcelona

According to reports from Spain, the Arsenal player could be returning to his boyhood club after Barcelona failed to capture the Arsenal captain last season.

The deal is said to be worth €35 million and it has also been reported that Fabregas has agreed a wage cut to push for the move.

If the deal does go through, it would end one of the longest-running transfer sagas in recent years.

While the transfer window closes at the end of August, Arsenal Manager is putting more pressure on Barcelona as he picked Fabregas for the match against Udinese in the Champions League qualifier next week.

If Fabregas does play next week in the Champions League match, he will not be able to play in any Champions League matches for Barcelona this season as he would have already played for Arsenal.
