Tarxien register first win of the season

With this defeat Mosta remain at the bottom of the table with Hamrun Spartans who were defeated by Qormi on Friday evening.

Tarxien took the lead on the 21^st minute. Ricardo Costa beat goalkeeper Jonathan Debono with his shot.

Tarxien almost doubled their lead when Luke Vella Critien’s header was cleared off the line by Luca Martinelli on the 37^th minute.

Mosta came close to equalising just two minutes into the second half.  Alex Cini’s header was cleared of the goal line by Vella Critien.

Tarxien were reduced to ten men just before the end of the match when Orosco Anonam received a red card for a dangerous tackle.
