Pisani double secures victory for Hibernians over Marsaxlokk

Steve Pisani was the hero of the day for Hibernians as he scored two goals to give his team a 2-0 victory over Marsaxlokk.

Hibernians were the dominant side throughout the entire match as they secured the victory that would keep them in touch with league leaders Valletta.

Hibernians did not waste anytime as they scored the first goal of the match on the 17th minute. Andrew Cohen's shot was partially saved by goalkeeper Christian Cassar to have Steve Pisani score from the following rebound.

On the 42nd minute, Hibernians scored their second goal when Steve Pisani was again at the right place at the right time when he scored after Cassar failed to stop a shot by Triston Caruana.

Clayton Failla went close to scoring Hibernians third goal of the match on the 68th minute when his powerful shot hit the crossbar.

With this victory, Hibernians remain three points behind Valletta on the BOV Premier League standings.

Steve Pisani was voted BOV Player of the Match.
