Valletta back to winning ways

Valletta finally managed to return to winning ways after they defeated Qormi 2-0.

Qormi - Valletta 0-2

With this victory, Valletta managed to move back to the top of the BOV Premier League standings.
The match started off with both sides being very cautious.
Qormi had the first real attempt on goal on the 33rd minute when Sebastian Aurelio Siritto shot on goal was saved by Valletta goalkeeper Manuel Bartolo.
At the beginning of the first half, Valletta's Leando da Silva Almeida had his shot from close range saved by Qormi goalkeeper Matthew Farrugia.
Michael Mifsud was also denied on the 57th minute.
Valletta started to add pressure to Qormi and finally managed to take the lead on the 60th minute. Off a cross by Leando Almeida, Denni Rocha dos Santos had his powerful shot beat goalkeeper Matthew Farrugia to give Valletta the lead.
Qormi went close to equalising on the 81st minute when Sebastian Aurelio Siritto had his shot from close range saved by Manuel Bartolo.
Valletta made sure they took home the three points when they scored on the 84th minute. Leandro da Silva Almeida served Joan Gabriel da Silva to have the latter beat goalkeeper Matthew Farrugia with his shot.
After four draws and a defeat, Valletta finally managed to secure victory and move to the top of the table.
Ian Zammit was voted BOV Player of the Match.
