Hibernians and Birkirkara share the points

Hibernians were unlucky in the first minute when Johann Bezzina hit the woodwork with his powerful shot.

Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza tried his luck from close range, but goalkeeper Mario Muscat made sure the ball stayed out of the net.

Hibernians maintained the pressure when a header by Jean Paul Farrugia from close range was denied by goalkeeper Reuben Gauci on the 20th minute.

Hibernians were reduced to ten-men on the 65th minute after Marcelo Dias was shown a second yellow card after a foul on Rodrigo Pereira.

On the 87th minute, Hibernians were very close to scoring the winning goal. A great header by Allan Kardeck dos Santos was cleared of the goal line by Birkirkara's Nikola Vukanac.
