Mosta register first win of the season

Sliema Wanderers were the more convincing side after the start of the match, but it was Mosta that scored the first goal.

On the 24^th minute, Firas Aboulezz made no mistake when he beat goalkeeper Tony Curmi whith his shot.

Sliema were back into the match just eight minutes later when Jackson Lima headed the ball home after receiving a great cross by Adrian Borg.

Mosta regained the lead in added time when Firas Aboulezz’s cross found Arislon Mello da Silva who then beat goalkeeper Tony Curmi with his shot from close range.

Mosta made the score 3-1 on the 59^th minute when Ian Zammit passed to Michel Maki Mvondo to have the latter beat the Sliema goalkeeper to give Mosta a two goal lead.

Sliema reduced the gap on the 85^th minute when a fantastic freekick by Jackson Lima Sequeira beat goalkeeper Jonathan Debono to make the final score 3-2.

Ian Zammit was voted BOV Player of the Match.
