The Paolites went ahead after twenty-three minutes. Ivan Maric fouled Jorge Elias dos Santos inside the penalty area and the referee pointed towards the spot. From the elven metres, mark Clayton Failla finished past Andreas Vella.

Mark Miller’s side made it 2-0 on the 76th minute. Marco Sahanek sent a wonderful shot from a free-kick that gave Vella no chance.

Hibs sealed the issue on the 87th minute. Following a good run, substitute Dunstan Vella went round the Mosta keeper and placed the ball inside the net.

Two minutes later, Mosta ended up in ten men after Tyrone Farrugia was shown his second yellow card following a foul on Sahanek.
