BOV Premier League | Balzan 2 – Valletta 1

Following a number of disappointing results, Balzan returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Valletta.

Valletta made a flying start to the match as they went ahead after just five minutes. Ibrahim Saleh fired a shot that was blocked by Ivan Janjusevic. Santiago Malano took hold of the rebound and placed the ball inside the net.

Balzan equalised on the 20th minute. Alex Da Paixao Alves went inside the penalty area and hit a low shot past Bonello.

Marko Micovic’s side scored the winning goal twelve minutes from time. Da Paixao Alves attempted to lob the ball inside the net, but Steve Borg managed to clear off the line. The ball went into the path of Uros Ljubomirac who slotted it inside the net.
