Qormi’s poor form continued as they suffered a 2-1 defeat against Birkirkara.

The stripes forged ahead after ten minutes. Petar Orlandic spotted Jamie Azzopardi out of position and lobbed the ball behind him.

Qormi hit back and equalised on the 29th minute. Tensior Gusman placed the ball inside the net from close range.

However, Birkirkara scored the winning goal on the 64th minute. Jake Grech hit a shot from inside the penalty area that gave Azzopardi no chance.

Following this result, Qormi remain anchored at the bottom of the table together with Senglea. On the other hand, Birkirkara are momentarily fifth.
