Thrilling encounters mark another busy evening at the MBSA

Yesterday evening’s action at the MBSA featured impressive performances from Philip Ciantar, Glenn Axiaq, and Anthony Zammit

The action continued yesterday evening at the Malta Billiards & Snooker Association (MBSA), as players battled it out in a series of highly competitive encounters across the Masters and Third Division competitions.

In the Masters Last 16, Philip Ciantar delivered a composed and confident performance to overcome David Zammit with a convincing 3-0 victory, comfortably securing his place in the next round of the tournament.

Attention then turned to the Third Division Semi Finals, where spectators were treated to two entertaining and hard-fought clashes. Glenn Axiaq produced an excellent display of potting and tactical play to defeat Manish Bishokarma 3-0 and book his place in the final in impressive fashion.

The second semi final proved to be a much closer affair, with Anthony Zammit edging past Patrick Atkins in a tense and closely contested 3-2 encounter after a battle that went down to the deciding frame.

Axiaq also recorded the standout moment of the evening, compiling the highest break of the session with an excellent 64 clearance to cap off a memorable performance.
