European Teams and Juniors Snooker Championships – Malta 2011

The European Teams and Juniors Snooker Championships will get underway tomorrow (March 30 2011), when on the sixteen tables assembled at the Dolmen Hotel in Qawra will see the Maltese teams in the men’s section will start their quest in this year’s edition.

Malta men’s team 1 will meet Malta men’s team 4 in the morning opening session at 10:00.

At the same time Malta men’s team 2 will face the Ukrainian team.

During the first afternoon session scheduled to start at 1300, Malta men’s team 3 will play their first match against Sweden. In the second afternoon session at 1600, Malta men’s team 2 will be up against Finland.

Later in the day, during the evening session starting at 19:00, Malta men’s team 1 will be encountering the Romanians while Malta men’s team 3 will be again called in action against France.

In the Masters section, Malta team 1 composed of Simon Zammit and Joe Grech will be playing Israel at 1000 while Tony Mifsud and Ivan Rizzo in Malta team B Russia at 1600.

In the ladies teams section Roberta Cutajar and Svetlana Ciantar will play two matches at 1300 and at 1600  against Israel and Russia respectively.

The Juniors under 21 will be inaugurated on Saturday 2nd April starting off at 1900.

The European Snooker Team Championships are being organised by the Malta Billiards and Snooker Association together with the European Billiards and Snooker Association.

Masters Team Malta 2: Ivan Rizzo, Tony Mifsud.

U21 European Championships Singles Tournament:
Aaron Busuttil, Chris Peplow, Gary Carr, Luke Borg, Matthew Calleja, Matthew Zammit, Shaun Sultana, Thurston Grixti and Wayne Pace 

A total of 17 countries including Malta will be partecipating in this event.
