Malta is the third best team in the world in table football

Malta has won the bronze medal at the table football world cup held in Belgium.

In the group stages, Malta beat Wales and the Netherlands before losing to the eventual world champions Italy.

Malta went on to beat Portugal in the quarter-finals but could not get past Spain in the semis.

Malta shared the third place with the hosts who lost to Italky in the other semi-final.

Mark Gauci, Joe Mifsud, Angelo Borg, Massimo Cremona, Charlie Aquilina and MTFSA President Joe Zammit Pavia made up the contingent in Rochefort.
