Three oaty recipes to kick start your morning

Oats for breakfast can seem a bit boring if all you do is microwave them as they say on the packet. Spice up your oat breakfasts with these three recipes.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. We’ve heard that a hundred times over. But while we have all have a varied repertoire of recipes for lunch and dinner, our breakfasts tend to be the same. Some do cereals, some do eggs, some skip breakfast entirely and just rely on coffee to get them through the morning.

Cereals are by far the easiest to prepare but another thing we’ve heard a hundred times is that supermarket brands are packed with sugar and even the ones claiming to be healthy simply aren’t. Full of hidden sugars, these are likely to promote sugar rushes and crashes as well as weight gain. The solution? Make your own. Whole grain oats are packed with nutrients and can be served hot or cold or cooked into a granola and then eaten on the go.

Whether you have plenty of time for long, lavish breakfasts or you need to have breakfast on the go, these recipes will make breakfast time something to look forward to.
