[WATCH] Malta to participate in second Eurovision semi-final in Kiev

Malta is set to be one of the 19 countries participating in the second Eurovision semi-final being held in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev.

This was determined during the official Semi-Final Allocation Draw, which took place today at the Column Hall of Kiev’s City State Administration.

Other countries scheduled to participate alongside Malta include Macedonia, the Netherlands, Serbia, Denmark, Russia, Romania, Hungary, Austria, Ireland, Sweden, Estonia, Israel, Bulgaria, San Marino, Lithuania, Croatia, Norway and Belarus.

The two semi-finals will be held on 9 and 11 May. If Malta makes the cut, it will move on to the final on 13 May.

The Malta Eurovision Song Contest, a local contest set up to select a song to represent Malta in the international music festival, will be held on 18 February at the MFCC.
