Stay in touch with the European Film Awards nominees with free film screenings at Casino Maltese and St James Cavalier.

Partly filmed in Malta, Steven Spielberg's Munich will be screened at Casino Maltese on December 2.

Ahead of the European Film Awards taking place at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta on December 1, the Malta Film Commission will organise a series of related film screenings at Casino Maltese, 247, Republic Street, Valletta from November 27 to December 3.

Meanwhile, St James Cavalier will also be screening a series of European films from both the short and long-list of the European Film Awards nominees, as well as the European Parliament Lux Prize.

The selection at Casino Maltese - screened free of charge - will comprise of films shot in Malta, as well as films by European Film Awards founder Wim Wenders and Bernardo Bertolucci, who will be presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Awards.

There will also be a selection of films starring Helen Mirren, who will also be honoured in Valletta come December 1, when she will receive an honorary award for achievement in world cinema.
