The collapse has left one of Comino’s most visited natural attractions inaccessible, with the cause of the incident still unknown

Comino’s Crystal Lagoon cave collapsed on Sunday morning, leaving its entrance completely blocked by fallen rock.

The collapse occurred at around 9am, when a substantial amount of rock broke away and fell into the lagoon.

The cave is one of Comino’s main natural attractions and is frequently visited by tourists and boat operators.

It is not yet known what caused the collapse or whether anyone was injured.
