[SLIDESHOW] Isle of MTV 2011

He may have left fans waiting for nearly an hour, but Snoop Dogg delivered a pumping performance at the Granaries last night, where he was joined by international artists LMFAO, Far East Movement and Parade.

He was warned to be on his best behaviour, but Hip Hop sensation Snoop Dogg did his ‘Sh**’ and got thousands of  fans delirious on the Granaries in Floriana as he closed the fifth edition of Isle of MTV.

Appearing on stage with a huge cigar, Snoop Dogg had organisers quite worried for his late arrival and had to engage DJ Nathan B twice to keep the crowds entertained until the King of Hip Hop showed up.

As the bass-line kicked-off and lights locked onto Snoop Dogg and his voluptuous dancers, the Granaries were home to the thousands of worshiping hands.

The self-proclaimed leader of the ‘gangsta’ party’ spoke his language and this is what was expected of him, otherwise he wouldn’t have been Snoop Dogg. ‘Da nigga’ was in da house and this was his show, his crowd, his stage.

Snoop Dogg’s ‘effings’ were typical of him, his songs, his language and the Hip Hop culture. Those who may have taken offence, or perhaps expected him to communicate ‘politely’ should have stayed home.

For this is the man, the brand...Snoop Dogg.

The Isle of MTV included acts by rap and pop sensations Far East Movement and LMFAO who had the crowds bouncing and heated up.

This year’s edition of the Isle of MTV was characterised by a high-tech stage that was illuminated by the latest LED technology lighting and lasers.

Hope the bishops would have something to say about this behaviour, not that I mind snoop dogs childish antics but it is good to let their excellencies know that snoop dog is a "Symbol" of todays' youth.
