Sinead O’Connor announced that her fourth marriage to therapist Barry Herridge came to an end after just 16 days.

The Irish singer, known for songs such as ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ released in 1990, blamed the ending of the marriage on disapproval from Herridge’s family and friends.

While parting amicably with nothing negative to say about the therapist, O’Connor admitted that they had both made a mistake in rushing to get married after meeting for the first time earlier this year.

O’Connor said that the split could also be blamed on her wild streak on their wedding night when she took her husband on the hunt for marijuana because she does not drink alcohol.
