Now on their second visit to Malta, the eight-member folk ensemble The Moulettes will be performing at V-Gen, Ball Street, Paceville tonight - following a set by local folk-pop act Stalko.

The Moulettes can boast of having performed and collaborated with some of the top names within their genre - an eclectic mix of sounds to begin with - including Mumford & Sons, Seasick Steve, John Paul Jones, Paloma Faith, Bonobo and Paul Heaton of The Beautiful South.

Having just released their second full-length album, The Bear's Revenge, the Moulettes's musical style is a rich and varied combination of prog-rock, indie, Classical, jazz and blues and has drawn comparisons to the Unthanks, Tom Waits and Shostakovitch.

Doors open from 21:00. Stalko will perfrom at around 22:45, with The Moulettes taking to the stage not before 23:30. Tickets at €10 can be bought from V-Gen, Coach and Horses and Why Not? They will be on sale at a higher price at the door.
