Final preparations for Cliff Zammit Stevens’ concert underway

BOV endorses Cliff Zammit Stevens’ seventh annual concert, as the Amadeus Chamber Choir is added to the list of performers.

Bank of Valletta has announced that it will be supporting the Cliff Zammit Stevens Concert with MPO.

The Bank is one of the concert’s main sponsors, along with the Malta Tourism Authority, XFM, WriteMeAnything.com and Wembley Store. The young tenor’s relationship with the Bank goes back a few years, as he is also one of the BOV Joseph Calleja Foundation’s scholars.

The Foundation, which was set up two years ago as a collaborative effort between Bank of Valletta and the Maltese Tenor Joseph Calleja, has a dual purpose. It seeks to assist promising young performers to further their studies and launch their career in the challenging world of performing arts, whilst concurrently opening a window on the world of performing arts for children with difficult backgrounds.

“Finding the backing of the BOV Joseph Calleja Foundation has been of great support. I have embarked on an incredible journey, and it is great to feel that I am not doing it alone,” says Cliff, who is a graduate of the Royal College of Music in London.

This news comes as the Amadeus Chamber Choir, one of Malta’s leading soprano, alto, tenor and bass-mixed choirs, has confirmed that it will be performing alongside Cliff, the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Mro Natalie Murray Beale, and guest soprano Hannah Sandison on the night of the concert.

The Cliff Zammit Stevens Concert with MPO will take place on Friday 4 September at 8pm and will be held at Pjazza Teatru Rjal in Valletta. Tickets can be purchased from www.ticketline.com.mt.
