Footage of the Mola Mola was captured off the coast of Gozo earlier this week.
Incredible footage of a huge sunfish (Mola Mola) off Wied il-Mielah in Gozo has been doing the rounds on social media this morning.
The footage was captured earlier this week by diver Erik van der Goot and posted onto his YouTube channel. “A once in a lifetime experience,” the caption read. “It was... impressive.”
Sunfish are known to be docile creatures – as can be witnessed in the video. They are the largest boned fish in the world and weigh in the region of 1000 kilosgrams.
