Seven people, including a 16-year-old, were arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking during police raids on Friday morning.

Home Affairs Minister Glenn Bedingfield announced the arrests on Facebook, saying police had carried out raids in St Julian’s and Marsa.

During the raids, officers seized 164 packets of suspected synthetic drugs packaged for sale, along with around 100g of suspected synthetic cannabis.

The 16-year-old is expected to be arraigned in court at noon on Friday.
