Two teenagers charged with using false money

Two sixteen year olds from Bormla accused of making use of false money.

Two teenagers from Bormla today pleaded not guilty to charges of trying to make use of up to 200 in false money.

Legal aid Dr Martin Fenech argued that the two teenagers had a clean conduct and were innocent until proven guilty. 

The two 16 year olds from Bormla, both unemployed, were accused by the Police of using false notes in two commercial outlets in Bormla. 

Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera granted the two teenagers liberty against a guarantee of 1000 euros each and imposed a number of conditions on the two.

Among others, the 16 year olds cannot leave home before 7:30 am and have a 10pm curfew. They also cannot travel or change address.
