Briton dies following fall from hotel balcony

An elderly Englishman has died after falling from a hotel balcony, one storey high.

Police were called to assist the situation on Dragonara Road, St Julian’s at 6:45am, with preliminary investigations indicating that the man had fallen.

An ambulance was called, but the man was declared dead at the scene.

Magistrate Caroline Farrugia Frendo ordered an inquiry into the case.
