Man suffers grievous injuries in workplace accident

A man was injured this morning after he was hit by a forklifter at the Bulebel industrial estate

An ambulance was called on site to take the victim to Mater Dei hospital for further treatment

A 43-year-old man from Marsascala was grievously injured after he was hit by a forklifter in the Bulebel industrial estate in Żejtun.

Police said the accident took place at around 8:00am. The forklifter was being driven by a 34-year-old man from Kalkara.

An ambulance was called on site to take the victim to Mater Dei hospital for further treatment.

Police investigation is still ongoing.
