Qala man dies after falling off balcony

A 64-year-old man from Qala has lost his life after falling from a one-storey height, according to the Police’s communications unit.

The incident happened at roughly 5.00pm when the police were informed that an accident had occurred at Triq l-Imġarr, il-Qala.

In a statement the police said they that from preliminary investigations it had transpired that the man fell after the balustrades on the balcony he was standing on gave way.

An ambulance was called to the scene of the accident however the man was certified dead on the spot.

The duty magistrate has bee informed and an inquiry is underway.

Police investigations are also still ongoing.
