Construction worker seriously injured in fall

Man involved in one-storey fall at construction site he was working at in Zebbug

A man was seriously injured this morning after suffering a fall on a construction site he had been working at.

The police said the accident, which happened at around 8.45am, involved a 48-year-old Sudanese man from Msida, who fell a height of one storey at a construction site in Triq Frans Sammut, Zebbug.

He man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital for care, with his injuries later being found to be grievous in nature.

Duty magistrate Francesco Depasquale ordered an inquiry on the case, and appointed various experts to assist him.

Police investigations are ongoing.
