Car crushed in Gzira accident

A car has been severely damaged in an accident this morning in Gzira.

An eyewitness said that the driver of the car, identified as a 28-year-old man from St Julian's, seemed shocked but was able to stand and talk to the police. It is understood that he refused medical assistance.

He appears to have lost control of the car - a yellow Jensen-Healey convertible, manufactured in the 1970s - and hit a central strip, with a rear wheel becoming dislodged in the process.
